Subject: HOLAAAAA
Well monday we played soccer with another zone and i had a
little thought as we played.. at first i was playing defense... just kind of
chillin in the back and not really doing much... then as the time went by i
decided i wanted to really play.. so instead of waiting for the ball to come to
me.. i went after the ball and started to play as hard as i could.. when i did
that i realized i was playing pretty good! the elders started to pass to me and
we were killing it, then after about five minutes of this it was time to
leave... i was so sad because i had just started to get the hang of it and
actually play... as we left i started to relate that experience to life and to
my mission.. i dont want to get to the last month or transfer and then start to
work as hard as i can... i know that if i did that i would feel like i did when
we had to quit playing soccer.. like if i would have played that way the whole
time it would have been so much better. Sometimes i think we wait for the ball
to come to us in life instead of going after it! We should be positive.. hard
working.. and always go after the things we want in life and do those things we
know will help us to become better people.... theres a little bit of my
thoughts from monday(:
So much happend this week with Hna Marilin. She was doing so
good and had her interview planned for wednesday.. then she didnt show up and
when we went to visit her she wouldnt talk to us and then she turned her phone
off.. so we pretty much gave up on her and decided that if she wanted to be baptized
she would talk to us... then thursday i got some letters from hna jacobson to
hand out here in Graficos and one of them was to her... so we decided to go
drop it off.. when we went there her daughter answered the door and said that
they were praying that we would come... Marilin was crying and told us that she
basically has nothing... her store is getting shut down.. shes losing her house
shes building and has no money... she told us about a dream she had and then
said that she wanted to be baptized.... we kind of just looked at her for a
minute when she said that and then said.. are you sure?? haha she started
smiling and said that no matter what she wanted to be baptized.. she knew it
was the right thing to do and she is ready to start her new life. .. man i
just adore this woman.. she works so hard to provide for her 2
daughters..alone.. and has been through so much.. i also thought alot about how
she truly had to be humbled before she would turn to the lord... thats a good
lesson to learn.. we shouldnt wait to have to be humbled before we turn to the
Lord and do his will. Her baptism was amazing.. she has such a desire to do
whats right and to change her life... and im so excited to see what happens
with her in the future. (:
This week were planning everything for hna nancy and German!
theyre going to be married and then nancy and her two daughters are going to
get baptized! should be a busy and fun week(:
Since were planning a wedding weve been talking with them
and thinking a lot about the importance of marraige. in sacrament one of the
members gave a talk about marraige.. and how Satan tempted adam and eve when
they were seperated... and how important it is to always be together.. to be a
team.. to work as one and to always be on the same page as spouses.. im not
married but i know that this is true..
"As a hasband and wife are each drawn to the Lord, as
they learn to serve and cherish one another, as they share life experiences adn
grow together and become one, as they are blessed through the uniting of their
distinctive natures, they begin to realize the fulfillment that our Heavenly
Father desires for His childresn. ultimate happiness, which is the very object
fo teh Fathers plan, is recieved through the making and honoring of eternal
marraige covenants." a quote i found by Elder David Bednar that i love!
The family of the couple we live with has been here for a
week.. their kids all come to stay with them for a week each year... one week a
year is how many times they get together!! That makes me so greatfull that our
family gets together so often and i know that truly it is worth all the work
that goes into it (mostly from grandma(: ) so keep it up family!! there is
nothing more important!!
Well this week i have an anouncement to make for October of
this year......... youll have to look at the pictures to see what is is but its
something im very very excited about!!!! (:
i know that this church is true... that our heavenly father
loves us and knows our needs!!
Love you all thank you so much for your support, love, and
prayers!!! Hurrah hurrah hurrah for Isreal!!! (:
love,
Hermana Weller (:
