First off it might take a while for me to respond, i lost my debit card and they also raised the price of sending letters to about 5 bucks. haha so have patience(: also it takes forever for me to get letters, i still havent gotten any, but i have hope!

Well im starting to love the food here, especially the bread and cake. i had guinney pig this morning for breakfast..yuuuummmm (: haha it tastes like fish and chicken mixed, not my favorite but thats okay. later today were going to try to make cookies... that should be interesting. im excited about it! Also my companion told me this week that our area is the area that no one wants to go to because its so hot and has tons of hills. I think its a blessing that i started here, because i love this area and all the people! I started the tradition of falling asleep during nightly prayer this week... oops. haha but i guess that means im working hard! im going to start teaching english everyweek starting next week so thats exciting! were hoping it will bring in some new investigators! This week was tough. Most of our lessons or appointments fell through and we didnt have any investigators show up for sacrament. also i was a little frusterated with my spanish because ive been here for about a month and a half and still struggle with it. but because of that i learned that i need to focus more on having the spirit with me. Because truly its not me or my spanish that will help and convert people its the spirit. i also was reading in the book of mormon about alma and all the other missionaries and how much they went through to share the gospel. the problems and difficulties we have here are nothing compared to theirs and im learning that difficult times make us stronger. We are ready to work extra hard this week and to be as obedient as we can. i know that there are people here ready to accept this gospel, we just need to work hard to find them! I love it here. i know i say that a lot but its because its true! i cant imagine not being here or not doing this work. I love it i love it i love it!!! Thank you for all of your support and emails, and letters(even though i havent gotten them yet) (: keep up the work at home and remember how much i love you and appreciate your prayers!!

hola familia!!!!!

First off i hope the cabin was tons of fun! ohhh wait.. i was there(; also felicidades on the engagement chris!! im so happy for you two!!!(: whens the date?? This week was really fun, monday we hiked to the statue of Christ which was a little sketchy but i love me some adventure!!  We met the new mission president on Friday and it was awesome for me because i got to talk to them in english(: especially his wife because she doesnt speak any spanish and i was one of two sisters who spoke english so i got to talk to them alot! They are awesome im super excited to get to know them more! Another cool thing was a lady showed up at church yesterday asking who could teach her more about the plan of salvation pamphlet, it was a reminder that people really are ready to here this gospel! But theres one thing i really wanted to share this week.

While knocking doors we met a young father who we taught a little bit to and when we asked him if he would pray to know if it was true he told us he didnt feel worthy to pray to God, let alone ask him for something. This broke my heart and i did my best to explain how much god loves us and always wants us to pray to him. i imagine that there are others who think this same way. that something theyve done or are doing makes them unworthy to pray. i know this befcause i have felt this way in my life before, that because of the way i was living or things i did heavenly father didnt want to hear my prayers or wouldnt listen. this is one of satans greatest tricks . to tell us that we cant or shouldnt pray and this is absolutely not true. our heavenly father will always love us no matter what mistakes we make. his love for us is perfect he already knows everything weve dont, he knows or thoughts, or intentions, our true desires, and he is always ready to forgive us if we ask him sincerely. ive learned this lesson many times in my life and i now know that the times that we feel we cant or dont want to pray are the times we need him most. we are litteraly his children and just like any parent wants to talk to their children he wants to communicate with us all the time. And who better to ask for help and advice then god, the creater of all things, the person who knows all things past, present and future and wants whats best for us. we can ask him for help in all things, both big and small and if we have faith we will recieve help. i know this is ture adn experience this help everyday here. my mission is the hardest thing i have ever done, mentally, physically and spiritually and i wouldnt be able to do it without his help. So for anyone who feels like they cant pray, dont let satan win, you can always pray to your heavenly father, no matter what youve done, there is ALWAYS a way back to him, back to the Gospel and back to true peace and happiness. im proof of this and know that this is ture. This Gospel is true, and if we live by its teachings and pray always we will be happy!(:

ohhh cuanto te quiero!!!!

Familia y amigos, como esta, que tal!? esta semana fue muy rapido no? tengo mucho para decirles! (: but instead of giving you the rundown of my days i want to write more details of the major things that happen here. starting with tuesday and my trip to arequipa! we had to wake up at 430 to get ready and leave which was super fun(: then we rode in a taxi there which is about 4 hours away. we had a conference with part of the mission and the mission president because it was his last week here. this week we have a new president from the us, ehhh how exciting(; At the conference of course i got asked to lead the music infront of everyone haha good thing i have music coordinator under my belt (: then we got to go to the grounds of the arequipa temple, what a cool experience! all it is right now is dirt and field but the spirit there was amazing! you could litteraly feel the desire of the people here to have that temple. After that the president and his wife talked to us and said there goodbyes, then we each got to say goodbye individually and even though i wasnt here with them for that long it was still hard. President Fernandez helped me so much and his wife was so loving and kind to me. They will be very missed here.

Wednesday was my 3 month mark, can you believe that?? crazy! time really does fly here especially when i am hard at work!

Saturday i had my first baptism, Sandra was baptized and it was such an amazing day for me! i say my first baptism because i was with her from the begginging of her journey. It has been such a blessing to watch her faith and testimony grow each visit over the past two weeks and watch as the lord healed and blessed her life. She is married and has a daughter, kamila (: and were hoping her husband will be next. The best part was her testimony aferwards, she expressed how she felt a change in her life and how she felt like a new person. Sunday she was confirmed a member and recieved the holy ghost. i feel so humbled and blessed to be a part of her journey and it makes me eager to find more people to have experiences like hers.

Every sunday the family i live with gets together and has lunch, reminds me a lot of our family dinners and how important they are and how important it is to spend time together as a family(:

I love my mission more and more everyday. i can feel the savior helping me change little by little and helping me become a better missionary and daughter of god so that i can help bring others to this great happiness of the gospel. i love peru. i love these people and this opportunity ive been blessed with to be here and to serve others.

Nothing is more important that  our relationship with our heavenly father and our savior jesus christ.. nothing. when we leave this earth our testimonies and our actions in this life are all we get to take with us. earthly things do not matter. The things we do today, tomorrow and so on determine the rest of our eternity. My wish is that we all can make the best out of the time we have here on earth. That we can show or gratitude and love for our savior by serving him and others.

A scripture i want to share is Hebrews 12:1,2  Run with patience the race that is set before you.

Love you all!!!! until next monday!!

Con amor,

Hermana Weller!(:
