Wow 10 months has flown by!!! I can not believe how fast time goes here.. The more time i have here the more time i want here!! haha

This week was crazy.. It started off really good!! We worked so hard this week.. i dont think ive worked this hard my whole mission or been as obedient as weve been.. every night we come home exhausted and barely make it through planning and writing in my journal.. but somehow we do it and i have felt such a change in the spirit that we have(:  We had a zone meeting and talked more and more about the "eye of faith" one of my favorite scriptures that they shared was alma 5: 15-16 "do you look forward with an eye of faith? " and my favorite part " can you imagine yourselves that ye hear the voice of the Lord, saying unto you in that day "come unto me ye blessed, for behold, your works have been the workds of righteousness upon the face of the earth? " I love that scripture.. it puts in perspective that one day we will have to stand before our maker and hope that he will be able to look at us and say that our works were works of righteousness.

We had stake conference saturday and sunday and had the priveledge to hear from our mission president, stake president, and the Temple president of the Lima temple! The temple pres talked to us about 1nephi 7: 10-12 a phrase that is repeated in these verses is "how is it that ye have forgotten?" he talked about how sometimes we forget who we are.. or our purpose here on the earth.. he related it to the movie 50 first dates..Every morning he puts on a video for her so she can remember who she is.. We too need to remind ourselves every morning of who we are.. We need to kneal down and pray to our heavenly father to help us remember our Great purpose here on the earth and to give us strength to overcome our weaknesses and temptations. If we remember that we are Sons and Daughters of a loving heavenly father we will have a strong desire to do whats right and to follow the example of our Savior Jesus Christ.

They also talked alot about family history.. We as missionaries are searching for those who are here on this earth who have been waiting to recieve the gospel into their lives... BUT there are millions and millions of people who have passed on to the other side of the veil who are also waiting.. and have been waiting for many many years for us to find them through family history and give them the gift of the gospel. DO YOUR FAMILY HISTORY WORK (:

It seemed as if everything was working against us these past couple three days.. every apointment we had fell through... our backup plans fell through.. and it just seemed as though everything was falling apart here.. sunday night we had a fireside and in the middle of it a member that had been helping us a ton the past month came in drunk and started talking to us in the middle of the temple presidents talk.. we went out in the hall and he told us that he had drank and smoked and that he needed to talk to us... me and my companion were literally in tears.. this is a member that is always helping us and is very strong in his testimony.. it is so crazy how much satan is working these days.. needless to say we went back into the fireside feeling pretty down.. as i sat there i remembered what we have been studying and teaching and teaching these past two weeks... FAITH.  i thought of either 12:6 "faith are things which are hoped for and not seen. wherefore dispute not because ye see not, for ye recieve no witness until after the trial of your faith" in life we are faced with many problems... many disapointments.. all of which are oportunities to show our faith in our Heavenly Father. I know that if we keep our faith and keep working hard and doing our best things will work out. Hard times will always come.. but we have to keep the faith and keep on fighting.. endure to the end(:

I am so greatfull for all of the challenges that i have faced in my life because they have taught me so much and i pray that we can all look at the dificult times in our lives as an oportunity to learn and grow(: one last scripture that i want to share.. a saying that i want to be able to say at the end of my mission and the end of my time here on this earth...

" I have fought a good fight, i have finished my course, i have kept the FAITH." 2Timothy 4:7

I love you all so much! thank you for your support and love and prayers!!

Que Dios Bendiga a todos!!!!

Con mucho amor,

Hermana Weller

This week was probably the best week thus far of my mission!! Monday night i got to stay in the mission home with the other Hermanas who are going to train, we had a little bit of training and then tuesday the newbies came!! They had their training, we ate lunch and then they lined us up.. newbies on one side.. trainers on the other and called us up one by one to meet our new companions.. my companion is Hermana Bazan, She is THE cutest little thing. Shes 21, Shes peruvian but grew up in Ecuador, then studied in Argentina, and then lived in Panama where she was baptized almost 3 years ago. She may be a convert of only 3 years but man that girl has a rock solid testimony. I dont feel like im training her at all! She served as a temporal in panama for a month so she knows a lot of the rules and everything! She has such amazing faith.. We put the goal to have 15 baptisms in this transfer.. 6 weeks. and we truly feel we can do it!! IT is a lot of baptisms.. more than ive had my whole 9 months but i know that if we work hard and are obidient we will be able to do it! It is seriously the best to be working with a new missionary.. they bring such a spirit and so much energy to work hard and serve the Lord and im greatful for the confidence of the President and the Lord to have the oportunity to train her(:

Bueno.. This week has been quite the adventure.. our pensionista went on vacation for 15 days so we have had to cook... good thing my companions mom was a chef!! haha i have been learning everyday how to cook diferent things from her, i love it. Also we have 4 hours of studies every morning which i thought i would dred but i love it! we have such good study sessions and i love learning more and more each day!

The work here in Graficos is growing!! we made our ward  mission plan this week and set up a calendar to have lunches with different families from the ward so we can get to know the ward better and also recieve references(; We have lots of work to do if were going to complete our goal and miracles are happening.

Saturday we had Jaimes baptism, it went perfectly. i love the spirit that is always there during baptisms, i am reafirmed everytime that this is the true church and that baptism is necessary to live with our Heavenly father again. We had lots of support from the ward as well which is always good!

We are still working with the mom and 2 daughters that her son is in the mission. She is seriously amazing. We met with her sunday and were all in tears.. she misses her son so much but also she has such a strong testimony and said she has had to wait because of problems in her family to be baptized.. her and her 2 daughters are going to be baptized the 8th of Febuary!! (best birthday present i could get(:

We also have Fernando, a neighbor of a member who has come to church 3 times and wants to be baptized this saturday! He is awesome. He has a lot of problems in his family but through it all has such a desire to change his life for the better and follow the example of Jesus Christ.

We have others that we are working with too but we could use all the prayers we can get! Pray that we can find the people that are ready to change their life, and that we will recieve help from the ward as well(:

We saw miracles this week but also saw how hard satan is working on families... We met the cutest little family that are sealed in the temple..were very active members who always helped with missionary work and now have been inactive for 7 years... She said that they just quit doing the little things and it led to where they are now.. FAMILIES.. we can not stop doing the little things, Scripture study and family pray.. EVERY DAY. Family home evening.. EVERY WEEK and going to church EVERY SUNDAY. Satan knows that in our families is where we can find the most peace and happiness and support... do not let him trick you in letting these little things seem not important. THere is nothing more important than a family that is centered in the Gospel Of Jesus Christ.

Sunday we had to talk in sacrament and i decided to talk about obedience.. just one scripture i wanted to share is d&c 132:5 if we want blessings we have to be obedient(: end of story(:

Also random side note, i read that the number of full time missionaries is now more than 90,000....WHAT!! MISSIONARY POWER!! haha that also means we need more help from the members, so get out there and do some missionary work! Pray for oportunities to share your testimony and pray for the missionaries.. we are praying for you(:

Love you all!! and i love this work!! my companion has a cd from EFY 2012 and Theres a song called "Give it all to him"  (Sam.. go find it and listen to it(; ) anyways i love a part in it that says "so much that i miss.. but so much that i love here!"

i love that, i do miss you all but i am so greatful for this oportunity to serve and to be here, i love peru, i love this area and i love my companion and our investigators.. more important is i love my Savior and i love working side by side with him in this work.

BE GOOD (:

love,

Hermana Weller. (:

Well familia, today i had to say goodbye to one of my best friends, Hna Jacobson. She is luckily just going to the zone right next to ours and might be able to meet up on p days still but it definately wont be the twenty four hour relationship we had! I have loved this past transfer more than any other in my mission. She taught me so much and will forever be greatful for all the memories we made and the things we learned together!! She is such an amazing missonary and will do amazing in her new area!! We even switched half of our wardrobes.. now thats best friend status!! (: plus i got sick of the same clothes for the past nine months!  Now for the news.. well i have been in the mission for nine months and a couple weeks now so i guess im actually over due... Im having a girl!! haha okay enough with the mission slang, im going to be training a newbie!! I dont know anything about her, not even her name yet, all i know is that shes latin! Im going to the mission home today for some training and then i think they come in tomorrow from the lima MTC. Im excited and nervous but ready for the challenge!! I feel like maybe they made me train because i need to learn all the basics again.. haha anyways this past week was an amazing week!!! we have an investigator who had his baptismal interview on friday and is going to be baptized this saturday!! Also on sunday we had a cute little family come up to us and tell us that their son is on a misson in Chicalayo, he left in november and only the dad is a member, the mom was in tears telling me how bad her and her two daughters want to be baptized, that they promised their son they would be ready to be sealed in the temple when he gets back... it was such a cool moment for me.. I hope that that missionary knows the blessing that his family will recieve for his decision to serve a mission. im also greatful that the lord is letting me be a part of their story.

Well we had some interesting adventures this week... we heard a mouse in our room one night ( yvonnes going to like this story.. haha) so we tore our whole room apart and didnt find anything, then the next day hna jacobson opened her clothes drawer and out ran a little mouse!! hahaha that night we put out rat poison and the next morning walked out side to a dead mouse infront of our door... GOT HIM. Well thats what we thought... then when we were cleaning up our disatrous room.. guess what we found... yep! another mouse!! looks like they were just having a party in our room and we didnt even know it! and yes,, we will be leaving the poison out just in case any other mice want to mess with these sisters!! haha

Friday and Saturday we had the privlege to have conferences with Elder C. Scott Grow. Friday was with all of the Consejo de barrios (ward councils) of Arequipa and the missionaries too. It was awesome and a good reminder of how we should be working together... its no longer missionary work or the wards work its the WORK OF SALVATION! We need to be working together as missionaries and members of the Church of Jesus Christ. Saturday was just with the missionaries and we talked alot about how we can improve as a mission and things we need to do better. It was a great conference and  i learned a ton!

What i wanted to share this week is the importance of the help of the members in this great and marvilous work.. IT IS CRUCIAL! The members should be the finders and the full time missionaries the teachers! There is no greater feeling than helping someone grow closer to their Savior Jesus Christ. There are people all around us that need what we have... The Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are all Sons and Daughters of God, and are all Brothers and Sisters, i think if we really think about this truth our desire to serve and share this message with others will grow. This is the True Church. It was restored to this earth through a prophet, Joseph Smith. We have the blessing of another testiment of Jesus Christ, The Book of mormon, which i know is truly the word of God, and i know that anyone who really reads the book and prays with a sincere heart will recieve an answer through the Holy Ghost that the book is true, That Joseph Smith translated it through the power of God. And that It contains the fullness of the Gospel. I know these things are true. With all my heart and Soul, and i wouldnt want to be doing anything else other than looking for people who are ready to accept the gospel and recieve the blessings that are awaiting them.

If you have wondered from the path, i want you to know that there IS a way back.. no matter how far away you think you are. The Lord will always love you and will always be there to welcome you back with open arms. The atonement is real, you can be forgiven and also recieve the strength to forgive. I love this Gospel, Its true, i know it. (:

Love,

Hermana Weller <3

Well family and friends WELCOME TO THE NEW YEAR(: 2014(:

This week was a good one, me and Hermana Jacobson learned a lot and have a lot of things on our quote board... for example..

"if someone wants to do something.. theyll do it"

"There are no fence sitters either your walking away from Christ or towards him"

anyways those are some of our quotes(:

Well new years was interesting, and amazing!! haha we stayed up til midnight and went out to watch the fireworks, which were crazier than Christmas!!

I took a moment and just thought about how fast this past year went by and all that has happened... im on a mission which is pretty crazy, ive lived in peru for almost 7 months of the year and i learned a new language!! But more important than all of that is how much my testimony has grown of this gospel and all the amazing experiences i have had. I have grown such a love for my savior and this gospel. i learn more and more from the scriptures each day and have a love and a desire to study them. I know that Joseph smith was and is a true prophet of god and that he restored the church of Jesus Christ on this earth at this time for us .I know the Book of mormon is the true word of God and have recieved many blessings from that sacred book. I love this Gospel. i know that this is the true chruch with all my heart and no one could ever convince me otherwise. Im not perfect, ive made a lot of mistakes in my life, but in return i have learned a lot. and those mistakes and lessons learned have made me who i am today.

We are still working with our investigators to get them to baptism but we also have a lot of less actives we are working with. We had 2 woman come to church this week and last week who have been inactive for a long time and are now excited to keep moving forward.

Transfers are on sunday... 6 weeks fly by!! I cant believe its been that long and that me and hermanan jacobson could be split up soon... But i know that the lord knows best and that i will be put with who i need to be!

I just wanted to thank all of you for helping make this past year one of the best. I also wanted to challenge all of you to just try each day of this year to improve. I learned this week that we arent perfect, nor will we be in this life, all we can do is just try harder each day. We will still make mistakes and mess up but if we just keep moving forward and trying to be better we will improve(: So instead of putting huge goals for this year, my goal is to try harder to be better each day(; THE CHURCH IS TRUE, i have never been happier or more blessed in my life. Love you all!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

love,

Hermana Weller
