ohhh cuanto te quiero!!!!
Familia y amigos, como esta, que tal!? esta semana fue muy
rapido no? tengo mucho para decirles! (: but instead of giving you the rundown
of my days i want to write more details of the major things that happen here.
starting with tuesday and my trip to arequipa! we had to wake up at 430 to get
ready and leave which was super fun(: then we rode in a taxi there which is
about 4 hours away. we had a conference with part of the mission and the
mission president because it was his last week here. this week we have a new
president from the us, ehhh how exciting(; At the conference of course i got
asked to lead the music infront of everyone haha good thing i have music
coordinator under my belt (: then we got to go to the grounds of the arequipa
temple, what a cool experience! all it is right now is dirt and field but the
spirit there was amazing! you could litteraly feel the desire of the people
here to have that temple. After that the president and his wife talked to us
and said there goodbyes, then we each got to say goodbye individually and even
though i wasnt here with them for that long it was still hard. President
Fernandez helped me so much and his wife was so loving and kind to me. They
will be very missed here.
Wednesday was my 3 month mark, can you believe that?? crazy!
time really does fly here especially when i am hard at work!
Saturday i had my first baptism, Sandra was baptized and it
was such an amazing day for me! i say my first baptism because i was with her
from the begginging of her journey. It has been such a blessing to watch her
faith and testimony grow each visit over the past two weeks and watch as the
lord healed and blessed her life. She is married and has a daughter, kamila (:
and were hoping her husband will be next. The best part was her testimony
aferwards, she expressed how she felt a change in her life and how she felt
like a new person. Sunday she was confirmed a member and recieved the holy
ghost. i feel so humbled and blessed to be a part of her journey and it makes
me eager to find more people to have experiences like hers.
Every sunday the family i live with gets together and has
lunch, reminds me a lot of our family dinners and how important they are and
how important it is to spend time together as a family(:
I love my mission more and more everyday. i can feel the
savior helping me change little by little and helping me become a better
missionary and daughter of god so that i can help bring others to this great
happiness of the gospel. i love peru. i love these people and this opportunity
ive been blessed with to be here and to serve others.
Nothing is more important that our relationship with
our heavenly father and our savior jesus christ.. nothing. when we leave this
earth our testimonies and our actions in this life are all we get to take with
us. earthly things do not matter. The things we do today, tomorrow and so on
determine the rest of our eternity. My wish is that we all can make the best
out of the time we have here on earth. That we can show or gratitude and love
for our savior by serving him and others.
A scripture i want to share is Hebrews 12:1,2 Run with
patience the race that is set before you.
Love you all!!!! until next monday!!
Con amor,
Hermana Weller!(:
